Welcome to Shotokan Karate Bahamas (SKB) on the web. We are a new and at present small karate dojo with big dreams. Our goal is the promulgation of Traditional Shotokan Karate in the Bahamas as espoused by the International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF) and the Japan Karate Association (JKA). Apart from our affiliations with the above bodies, we are also affiliated to the Bahamas Japan Karate Association (BJKA) which is the main body representing ISKF/JKA karate in the Bahamas. Our MissionShotokan Karate Bahamas is dedicated to the practice and promulgation of Traditional Shotokan Karate in the Bahamas. Training will be guided by the Dojo Kun maxims - Character, Sincerity, Effort, Etiquette & Self-control - while at the same time preparing our members to defend themselves against all obstacles, physical and otherwise through systematic training that develops them both physically and mentally.
